C3 is a case management system that supports the Movedocs team in collaborating with law firms and medical providers. It streamlines the monitoring, reconciling, and tracking of case documents and payment activities related to settlement funds in personal injury cases, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for everyone involved.

Problem

The CIMI legacy system is nearing the end of its performance and usability, posing a significant risk to business operations.

Solution

Led the redesign and migration of CIMI into a single cloud-based platform with new payment and legal workflows.

Outcome

C3 launched July 2025 after a 4-year redesign and migration.

Eliminated manual data re-entry by creating a bi-directional sync between MS Business Central and the CMS.

Unified account processing into a single responsive screen with auto-scroll tabbing, reducing data entry time.

Architected user roles and permissions into three categories: users, roles, and permissions. This hierarchical structure gives administrators flexibility, with permissions serving as the common link between roles and users.

Established guardrails to ensure restricted access, effectively minimizing the risk of unintended or unauthorized entry into sensitive functionalities and data.

Designed a two-grid panel layout that allows for effortless scanning of role descriptions alongside their detailed explanations. This design makes it easy for users to navigate and absorb the information quickly.

Defined two distinct types of permission logic: binary and numeric. This approach aligns with our users' mental models, allowing them to manage permissions for both qualitative and quantitative actions with ease.

Crafted new review screens for critical workflows so users can identify any issues before completing or committing to a particular action.
